Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Kerala Conducts “1000 Women Video Challenge” to Mark Women's Day

The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Kerala, successfully conducted a “1000 Women Video Challenge” as part of this year’s Women’s Day celebrations, receiving an overwhelming response from across the state.

The challenge invited women to participate individually or in groups, resulting in over 10,000 entries; far surpassing initial expectations. Inspired by these powerful voices, the entries were creatively compiled into three compelling reels, capturing the essence of women's voices on empowerment, participation, and leadership. While initially planned as a three-minute video, the number of responses led to an extended multi-part release.

The much-anticipated video was officially launched today( 7th March 2025) at the CEO’s Chamber by Ms. Sheethal B.S., Kalathilkam (South Zone Sahodaya Competition, 2019), and Ms. Kamalakrishna D.S., Capital District Sahodaya Winner, 2022.

The “1000 Women Challenge” stands as a testament to the power of collective voices and the impact of women’s participation in shaping the future.The overwhelming engagement showcases the enthusiasm of women across Kerala in celebrating their role in democracy and society , said the Chief Electoral Officer Shri Ratan U Kelkar, IAS.
